THE YELLOW CAFE

YCwebintro

The Yellow Cafe was an event/club I co-ran in Edinburgh with Rodney Relax, an Edinburgh based poet. Running from 1994 the club lasted over a decade. The events consisted of poetry, performance, visual arts, film and of course music delivered by a variety of DJ’s. Working with the well known to the obscure, writers and artists made this a much talked about event. This is a small archive of some of the remaining posters produced for the events. All were produced on a flatbed press using wood and metal type. Each were an edition of around 100 and almost all were taken down as quickly as we could put them up.

    Hi there Jon!
I remember the talk we had about this series at the Olive Press and yes from your works I’ve seen so far, this is the one I truly like a lot!

    Cheers!
